What's New at the Kansas Museum of History

Through the end of November - Frigidaire Stove

Frigidaire StoveThe What's New Exhibit at the Museum currently features a 1968 Frigidaire Custom Imperial Flair stove, recently donated by Jerry and Jacqueline Mershon of Manhattan, Kansas. The Mershons used the stove in their home for 40 years, and probably would have kept it longer if they weren't remodeling their kitchen.

"We were entering the space age in the sixties with the USA sending a man to walk on the moon," wrote Mrs. Mershon. "I always thought this stove reflected some of the forward thinking of the time. Stoves made today are no where near the quality of this one."

Scroll down to see how you can visit the Museum and see the Mershon's Frigidaire free of charge!
