Tornadoes, droughts, prairie fires, floods -- Kansas gets them all. Even though modern conveniences and forecasting methods buffer us from the weather, we still experience the effects of nature. This display presents Kansas' challenging climate, and how residents have learned to deal with it, in an exciting interactive format. more

Visiting the Kansas Museum of History
Location:

Exit 356 on I-70 in west Topeka. Turn north; enter the roundabout and follow the signs directing you west.

Public transportation is available through the Topeka Transit Bus Schedule (West 6th route). NOTE: Service is limited to three daily trips, Monday through Friday. See the bus schedule link above for details.

Hours:

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday
1 - 5 p.m. Sunday
Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (Dec. 25 & 26) and most state holidays.
